Hoger Instituut voor de Arbeid (HIVA), Belgium

HIVA is a multidisciplinary research institute at the Catholic University at Leuven co-founded and co-administered by the University and the Christian Labour Movement. Its aims are to conduct high level policy orientated research and provide training and consultancy in all areas of labour and the economy. HIVA has considerable expertise in econometrics and works closely with other research bodies and the government to analyse and interpret labour market statistics. The Labour Studies Department responsible for the work on the EMERGENCE project carries out interdisciplinary research into the quality of work, organisation studies, personnel and employment policy, unemployment, industrial relations and technology policy.
