Economic and Social Research Institute (IRES), Italy

Founded in 1979, IRES is now a non profit making association operating centrally and regionally throughout Italy. Its aims are to carry out studies and research independently or collaboratively and to publish results of these; to promote seminars and conference and to provide investigative and consultancy work. IRES brings expertise on southern Europe and specialist knowledge of social exclusion, labour force segmentation and the position of vulnerable groups in the labour market especially in the context of the impact of technological change.
