The project will be led and managed by the Institute for Employment Studies (IES) in the UK, with partners across the world.

In addition, the project will be employing specialist subcontractors, including:

Forschungsgemeinschaft fuer Aussenwirtschaft, Struktur- und Technologiepolitik (FAST), in Germany

The Trade Union Institute for Economic and Social Study and Research (ISERES) in France

Valter Fissamber Associates (VFA) in Greece.

Together, these partners constitute an exceptionally strong interdisciplinary team, with expertise, inter alia, in economics, econometrics, science and technology policy, telecommunications, development studies, organisational theory, computer science, economic and human geography, social science, gender studies, industrial relations, employment law, regional and rural development, small firms development and survey methodology, many at the methodological cutting-edge of socio-economic research on new forms of work in the information society. A steering group with representatives from all EU member states including the social partners, academics, consultants, NGOs, telecommunications, hardware and software suppliers, training agencies and other stakeholders will guide the work of the project.
